JOB DUTIES:                           BUILD AND SHIP FEATURES AND CAPABILITIES DAILY IN HIGHLY SCALABLE, CROSS-GEO DISTRIBUTED ENVIRONMENT. BUILD REST APIS THAT POWER CORE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCES. BUILD CUSTOMER-FACING REACT COMPONENTS. BUILD CI/CD PIPELINES. REVIEW CODE WITH BEST PRACTICES OF READABILITY, TESTING PATTERNS, DOCUMENTATION, RELIABILITY, SECURITY, AND PERFORMANCE CONSIDERATIONS IN MIND. CONFIGURE MONITORING FOR BACKEND SERVICES. ENSURE FULL VISIBILITY, ERROR REPORTING, AND MONITORING OF HIGH PERFORMING BACKEND SERVICES. PARTICIPATE IN AGILE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT INCLUDING DAILY STANDUPS, SPRINT PLANNING, TEAM RETROSPECTIVES, AND SHOW AND TELL DEMO SESSIONS. WORK IN A COLLABORATIVE WORK ENVIRONMENT WITH OTHER ENGINEERS, ARCHITECTS, PRODUCT MANAGERS AND DESIGNERS. MENTOR AND LEVEL UP THE SKILLS OF TEAM MEMBERS BY SHARING EXPERTISE IN FORMAL AND INFORMAL KNOWLEDGE SHARING SESSIONS. 

MINIMUM EDUCATION:   BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING OR A RELATED FIELD OF STUDY.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:     TWO (2) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN AN IT RELATED POSITION BUILDING AND DEVELOPING APPLICATIONS AND CRAFTING AND IMPLEMENTING HIGHLY SCALABLE AND PERFORMANT RESTFUL MICRO-SERVICES INCLUDING TWO (2) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH ANY MODERN OBJECT-ORIENTED PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE (E.G., JAVA, KOTLIN, GO, SCALA, PYTHON, ETC.); ANY ONE DATABASE TECHNOLOGY (E.G. RDBMS LIKE ORACLE OR POSTGRES AND/OR NOSQL LIKE DYNAMODB OR CASSANDRA) INCLUDING TWO (2) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH SAAS, PAAS, IAAS INDUSTRY WITH HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE OF PUBLIC CLOUD OFFERINGS (AWS, GAE, AZURE) AND WITH CLOUD ARCHITECTURE PATTERNS AND PRODUCING SOFTWARE WITH QUALITY.

OFFERED WAGE:           $147,400 TO $196,600 YEAR
